Detra Carlene Price

Detra Carlene Price, 52, of Copper Hill, Va. passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2010.

Arrangements are handled by Maberry Funeral Home of Floyd, Va. She leaves to mourn her memory, her mother, Lorraine Stuart Price and brother and sister-in-law Harvey and Camille Price, all of Copper Hill, Va. She is preceded in death by her father Harvey R. Price and her paternal grandparents Morton and Willie Price, and also her maternal grandparents John Roy and Maude Stuart. She will be greatly missed by her uncles, aunts, cousins as well as co-workers and friends, including her beloved dog Stephy.

She dedicated her life to Jehovah over 3 decades ago, serving as one of his witnesses in the Floyd Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She owned Apollo Designs Unlimited where she could put her creative talents to work designing handbags, totes, and whatever else she chose. She thoroughly enjoyed showing & selling her designs at craft shows. She was employed by Lowes of Christiansburg, Va.

Funeral Services will be held at Maberry Funeral Home on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 2 pm with Mr. Phillip Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Restvale Cemetery in Copper Hill, Va. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010, from 1-2 pm prior to the funeral.
