Mista Ann Tolbert Martin

Mista Ann Tolbert Martin, 71, of Bassett, VA passed away on March 20, 2010 at Stanleytown Health Care Center with her sister, daughter and son-in-law by her side. She was born in Floyd and was a beloved wife, mother, and sister, who devoted her entire life to her family.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James W. Martin, Sr. of Bassett; one daughter, Loketta Lambert and her husband Brady of Martinsville; three sons, James W. Martin, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Winchester, Scotty Martin of Martinsville, and Steven Martin of Bassett; one granddaughter, Hannah Dane Martin of Martinsville; grandson, Jack Collins and granddaughter, Gracie Collins of Martinsville.

She is also survived by one sister, Mary C. Parks of Henry; brother-in-law, William C. Parks of Collinsville; three brothers, Histon Tolbert and his wife Terri of Hagerstown, MD, James Tolbert of Meadows of Dan, Steve Tolbert and his wife Mary Lou of Floyd; half-sister, Teresa Hatcher and her husband Sam of Floyd; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends on Monday, March 22, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Maberry Funeral Home in Floyd, Virginia. Funeral service will be held at the Maberry Funeral Home in Floyd, Virginia on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery in Floyd directly following the funeral service.

The family would like to thank the staff of Stanleytown Health Care Center for the care, love, and support that was shown to our family and especially Mista over the last 6 years.
