Virginia Pauline Shelor

Mrs. Pauline Radford Shelor, 90 of Floyd passed away December 24, 2012 at Whitestone Nursing Home in Greensboro, NC. She was the daughter of the late Francis Marion Radford and Nora Lee Howell. She was preceded in death by her husband, P.L. Shelor, Jr.. Survivors include her children, Dr. Paul Shelor of Greensboro, N.C, Leonard Shelor and wife Karen of Badin Lake, NC, Mike Shelor of Chapel Hill, NC, Jennifer Shelor-Jones and Wyly Jones of Blacksburg, VA, one aunt Ella May Ray of Princeton WVA, one brother Ralph Radford of Garden Grove, CA, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pauline will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her strength of character, values, love and generosity for her family were evident throughout her life. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Floyd, Women of the Church and an active member of the Home Demonstration Club. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday December 31, 2012 at Maberry Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Womack officiating. Interment to follow at the Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive quests Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
