Frances Hall Call

Frances Hall Call, 89, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on June 26, 2012. Born in Floyd, VA, she is the daughter of Frank O. and Beulah W. Hall.

She attended Bluefield Business College in Bluefield, WV. The majority of her career was as a bookkeeper in her local family business, Jack Call Piano Company. After retirement, she worked until age 78 as a home health care worker. She was a member of Church of Charlotte. She loved gardening, painting water colors, many types of needlework, crossword puzzles, animals, cooking, and reading. She worked tirelessly throughout her life for the care of her family and she is a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Freeman and William Hall; and by her sister Mildred Perry.

Surviving are her children Gerald, Frank, Donna and Sharon Call, and Barbara Call McGowan; her grandchildren Kelly, Wilbur and Matthew Call, Mary Frances and Brendan McGowan; her great grandchildren Brittin, Aleyna and Jayden Call; and her sisters Josephine Moricle and Belle Thompson.

A memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Floyd, VA. on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, P. O. Box 37, Floyd, VA 24091.
