David Jackson (Jack) Via, Jr.

David Jackson (Jack) Via, Jr., 43 of Copper Hill, went to be with his Lord and Savior, April 6, 2013, as the result of a motorcycle accident. Jack was a 20+ year employee of Yokohama Tire in Salem, VA, serving as a tire builder in Division 400. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert & Lois Gibbs and Theodore & Susie Via of Floyd.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, David & Lois Via of Floyd; sister & brother-in-law, Lisa & Ken King of Roanoke; and nephew & niece, Lucas & Grace King. He is also survived by aunts & uncles, Theodore & Louise Via, George & Thelma Via, Lena Taylor, Pearl Johnson, Edward & Sue Gibbs, William Gibbs; numerous cousins, and many, many friends & neighbors.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Hebron Quesenberry and Pastor Burt Franks officiating. Interment to follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the funeral home.
