Rita Lou Marks Carte

Rita Lou Carte, 72 of Floyd, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell S. & Fern Wright Marks; and daughter, Kathy C. Whittaker.

She is survived by her husband, William Carte; daughter & son-in-law, Sheila & Roger Dickerson; grandsons, David Dickerson, Randy & Marilyn Dickerson, Micheal Sumler & Michelle Smith, Tylor Whittaker; granddaughters, Katrina Dickerson, Chasity Sumler; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Ferguson, Aaron Ferguson, Johnathan Whittaker, Dayton Dickerson, Isabella Smith, Kelly Smith; and sisters, Evon Morris, Debbie Cobb & husband Everet,and Margaret Jo Marks.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Warren Bumgarner officiating. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 prior to the service at the funeral home.
