Esta Louise Cunningham Martin

Esta Cunningham Martin, 83 of Floyd, passed away Thursday April 2, 2009. Esta was a devoted member of the Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren and loved her church family.

Preceded in death by Husband Alvin D. Martin, Son Melvin G. Martin, Grandson Jody G. Martin, Parents Wilton & Pearl Cunningham, Brothers Lewis & Hampton Cunningham, and Sister Eloise C. Nester.

Survivors include Sons & daughters-in-law: Roy H. & Diane Martin and Ernest L. & Ina Martin; Daughters & son-in-law: Barbara M. Ayers and Joyce M. & Lenard Howell; Brother & sister-in-law Andrew & Virginia Cunningham; Sisters & brothers-in-law: Lizzie M. Marshall, Viola C. & Clarence Nolen, Virginia C. & Sherman Haley, and Marjorie C. Lucas; Six Grandchildren; Six Great-grandchildren; and Two Step Great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday April 5, 2009 at the Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren with Rev. Roy Turpin and Rev. Marvin Wade officiating. Interment to follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday April 4, 2009 at Maberry Funeral Home.
